Happy New Year! Welcome back!
Important Information:
~Independent Work week will be from 1/19-1/21. Presentations will take place on Friday, January 22.
~DL families: if your scholar does not have their 5B Math books or 2B Grammar book, those are available at the front office for pickup at your convenience.
English Language Arts:
We have begun reading "Where the Red Fern Grows." Please ensure that your student has access to a copy. The version we will be referencing for page numbers has ISBN number 978044041267.
**This is a "Classics to Keep" book. Each student should have their own copy to read from and annotate in.
In Poetry, our next poem is "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll.
Math:
Hello Spartan Family!
This week, we'll continue working with decimals: multiplying and dividing by various whole numbers.
Sincerely,
Mr. Dorazio
History:
To continue our introduction to geography, we'll follow Marco Polo through his travels and explorational experiences.
Science:
We will continue being in touch with ecosystems and environments, but we will be going large-scale and looking at the Earth and its systems as a whole.
Grammar/Writing:
We will review all of the parts of speech and sentence elements that we've learned in Grammar this semester. We'll start applying those to our Writing as we begin looking at and learning about prose writing.
