 Welcome back!

English Language Arts:

We will begin reading "A Wrinkle in Time". Please ensure that your student has access to a copy. The version we will be referencing for page numbers and using in class has ISBN number 9780312367541.

**This is a "Classics to Keep" book. Each student should have their own copy to read from and annotate in.

In Poetry, we are discussing and memorizing "Jabberwocky" by Lewis Carroll.

Math:

Hello Spartan Family!

Using our decimal knowledge, we will begin working with conversion factors: measuring in smaller and larger units.

Sincerely,

Mr. Dorazio

History:

Our focus the next few weeks will be on early exploration. Who went where first? What did they do, and who did they meet? At what point was there a map of the whole world?

Science:

We will continue learning about Earth's cycles. Following the hydrosphere and water cycle, we'll cover sections like the geosphere and atmosphere.

Writing:

We are working with excerpts from "Anne of Green Gables" to practice identifying and thinking about protagonists and antagonists.
