English Language Arts:

We are reading "A Wrinkle in Time" and have read through Chapter 9 this week. Students are assigned pages and should make sure to have those pages read at home to be prepared for discussion each day.

Please ensure that your student has access to a copy. The version we will be referencing for page numbers and using in class has ISBN number 9780312367541.

        **This is a "Classics to Keep" book. Each student should have their own copy to read from and annotate in.

In Poetry, we are discussing and memorizing "The Builders" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. 

Math:

Hello Spartan Family!

We are reviewing the key concepts we've covered throughout the year and will continue to practice utilizing what we've learned from word problems and multiplication/division to fractions, decimals, and conversions.

History:

This week we finished our U.S. Geography unit, wrapping up with a project reviewing the regions and practice listing the 50 states. Beginning next week, we will move on to the Civil War.

Science:

We are looking at the biosphere and the ways all living things interact together on Earth. Specifically, we will continue learning about animal classification and how it is used.

Writing:

Students should now be familiar with all the steps of writing a paragraph. We will continue to practice paragraphs about varying subjects.

This week we looked at the United States regions on the western side of the country. We will wrap up our U.S. Geography unit with a project about the states and regions next week.

Science:

We are looking at the biosphere and the ways all living things interact together on Earth. We started an in-class, group project illustrating the relationship of all living things.

Writing:

Students should now be familiar with all the steps of writing a paragraph. We will continue to practice paragraphs about varying subjects.
